What is Precision Agriculture?

Precision agriculture is the science of improving crop yields and assisting management decisions using high technology sensor and analysis tools.
  • Financially Rewarding : Dramatically improves the efficiency of crops and saves financial costs while increasing production.
This is achieved by enabling farmers to control all the processes remotely with a precision agriculture system. Even small farms can manage large fields or a group of small areas.
  • Sustainability: Precision agriculture is helpful for growers and the environment as it reduces environmental degradation which typically worsens conditions for agriculture. It minimizes the cost of materials and resources, like water, seeds, fuel. It maintains soil health by reducing the number of pesticides.
  • Reduces impact of weather variability:  It lowers the dependence of agriculture on weather conditions

Who uses Precision Agriculture?

Precision Agriculture benefits a growing number of Use Cases including the following categories :
  • GROWERS : Growers enjoy yield improvement with more accurate harvest prediction, early disease detection, weed analysis, crop recognition and stand counts.
  • INSURERS : Insurance companies seeking to implement more efficient and predictive loss prevention strategies and also empower their claims reviewers with digital capabilities.
  • AUDITORS: Auditors of Agricultural Operations seeking to deploy a more efficient and accurate method of Physical Inventory Verification and Valuation.
  • BANKERS: Bankers seeking to protect their exposure to Agricultural Operations clients by seeking accurate Crop Field Inventory Valuation and implement Loss Prevention initiatives.
  • CRISIS RESPONSE : During times of crisis, speedy intervention to protect and assist impacted populations and their communities is of utmost importance. Our Core Technologies assists in delivering supplies to hard to reach locations in a timely, controlled and efficient manner.

Crisis Response and Livestock Management
Crisis and Natural Disasters can never be planned for completely and often required swift responses for relief and delivery of medical and food supplies.

The technological capabilities of Precision Agriculture Practitioners enable them to be swiftly deployed for the use of Drones to deliver food and medical Supplies to hard to reach areas during times of crisis.

Sustaining our Environment
Precision Agriculture uses GPS-guided machinery, drones, and sensors to apply inputs like fertilizers, pesticides, and water only when and where they're needed.

This reduces the risk of chemical runoff, soil erosion, and pollution.

Precision Agriculture helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions by optimizing the use of resources.

Precision Agriculture also help preserve natural resources and biodiversity by reducing the reliance on harmful chemicals and optimizing land use.

It also helps to reduce the development of pesticide resistance by applying pesticides only when and where they are needed.

Precision Agriculture for Bankers and Insurers
Insurance companies seeking to implement more efficient and predictive loss prevention strategies and also empower their claims reviewers with digital capabilities.

Bankers seeking to protect their exposure to Agricultural Operations clients by seeking accurate crop field inventory valuation.
